Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) Approval
Banaras Institute of Pharmacy (BIP) is approved by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), New Delhi, the statutory body governing pharmacy education and profession in India. The approval signifies that the institute meets all academic and infrastructural standards prescribed by the PCI for conducting the Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm) program. This recognition ensures that students graduating from BIP are eligible for registration as pharmacists and are equipped with the skills and qualifications required to serve in the healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors. Board of Technical Education (BTE) Affiliation
Banaras Institute of Pharmacy (BIP) is affiliated with the Board of Technical Education (BTE), Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow, the regulatory body responsible for overseeing diploma-level technical education across the state. The affiliation has been extended for a period of three years, authorizing the institute to conduct the Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm) program for the academic session 2026-27 with a sanctioned intake of 60 seats (66 including the EWS quota). This affiliation ensures that students enrolled at BIP receive a recognized qualification, are eligible to appear for official BTE examinations, and meet all standards prescribed by the Board for academic delivery, infrastructure, and faculty.
